Hidden away in the tree line on the edge of the magnificent Mvubu plain in the 12 000 hectare Mabula Private Game Reserve, lies Kwafubesi Tented Camp.

The luxurious en-suite tents have been designed with soft furnishings in strong hues of rich African colour and are raised on platforms in order to maximize privacy.

Our safari tents embrace an African décor, epitomising comfort, ambience and serenity. The en-suite bathroom, reminiscent of an Out of Africa experience, comprises of a toilet, washbasin, large stone bath and shower with running hot and cold water and towel racks with soft fluffy towels.

The bedroom consists of double/twin beds with nightstands, fans and electric blankets for those chilly wintry nights. There is a hanging cupboard with shelves and a table providing coffee and tea making facilities.

The lodge also offers an ice bucket with bottled water. Along the canvas walls, there are outlets for charging camera equipment and mobile phones.

The private timber deck enables guests to withdraw for some private leisure time in-between game drives or to sit out in the evening after dinner to gaze at the star-filled Limpopo night sky

Drift asleep to the cacophony of crickets and cicadas, or the chiming of small frogs to awake to a new day, as Cape Turtle doves are gently cooing at the early morning air.

This is the ideal location to venture out on a bush walk or horseback safari. After the morning activities, laze around the pool or retreat to your tent and leave the stress of the outside world behind.

Game drives leave Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp twice daily. An early morning drive ensures guests are out to experience the breathtaking sunrise over the savannah plains, with time to stop and stretch your legs and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.

Afternoon drives allow for a few hours of game viewing before enjoying sundowners in the beautiful golden light as dusk descends over the majestic Waterberg landscape.
