Finfoot Lake Reserve offers two accommodation options: comfortable chalets or a stylish self-catering villa located close to the Vaalkop Dam, which is ideal for families and groups of friends celebrating a special occasion.

Finfoot Lake Reserve offers 18 chalets each accommodating two guests in king-size or twin beds and 8 Bush Chalets for families. The furnishings are stylish and comfortable with natural wooden furniture and earthy tones.

Each unit comes with ample storage space, a dressing table and an en suite bathroom with a shower in the chalets and two batherooms in the Bush Chalets ( Bath in one and shower in the other). Air-conditioning is provided indoors, while the outdoor seating area offers views over the surrounding bush.

The lodge also offers self-catering units at lower prices.

The self-catering luxury villa at Finfoot Lake Reserve is spacious, with a large open plan fully-equipped kitchen, lounge and dining room area which opens up onto a wooden wrap around deck which has a medium size pool and braai area. Above the lounge area there is a loft with a timber deck overlooking the dam.

The four bedroom villa can comfortably accommodate eight adults and two children. Each bedroom is furnished with ample storage space, dressing table, small lounge area and either a king-size bed or two single beds. The two main bedrooms boast their own en suite bathrooms with double basins and a bath.

There are another two bathrooms, as well as an additional guest toilet and the option of truly being one with nature by trying out the outdoor shower.

The other self-catering option are the Luxury Safari Tents. These units don’t skimp on space, as each luxury tent includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, an open plan lounge and dining area as well as a timber viewing deck. The bedrooms incorporate an authentic outdoor shower, while each luxury tented safari camp features a medium size pool and a private, shaded boma braai area.

The large thatched lapa serves as the main hub at Finfoot Lake Reserve. This open-sided, breezy building is home to the camp’s bar and cosy lounge areas where most meals are served.

Descend a few steps out onto the sun deck, where there’s plenty of seating to sit back and soak up the view. The swimming pool is a popular spot for those looking to put their feet up with a cocktail or two.
